A game about exploration and discoveryRole : Producer, Systems Programmer and UI Designer
Psychopomp is a 3D narrative exploration game developed by me and a team fo 4 others. The project is about playing the role of Hermes, athe Psychopomp. The game heavily revolves around exploring movement including running, flying and glidng across a vast endless ocean to find and deliver letters to souls travelling to the afterlife on trains.
The objective was to create a dreamlike, surreal world.
The music of the world reacts to your movement and the world is generated procedurally every couple of minutes based on your location in the wrold map
Responsibilities :
- As the producer for this project I was responsible for all task management, progress tracking and handling of all deliverables.
- Used a suite of tools including Notion, Trello and Google Suite for production jobs.
- As the systems programmer I developed the spline system used by the trains in the game and the letter spawning system used by the player
- All UI in the game including all panels, screens and the on-screen compass were created by me.
